Located just minutes from Sri Lanka’s best beaches and 20 minutes from the historic Galle Fort, it offers four uniquely designed guest suites, comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests, and is fully staffed, including an excellent chef. Designed by British interior designer Chlöe Elkerton, Braganza Villa blends traditional Sri Lankan architecture with Mediterranean and Moroccan influences.

Chlöe, based in Singapore, created this island retreat to be a home away from home, where family and friends can gather and create lasting memories. The design reflects Sri Lanka’s natural beauty—its ocean, beaches, hills, and jungle—incorporating these elements into the house’s details and finishes. The villa features stunning interiors, including handmade encaustic tiles, refurbished Dutch antique doors, Sri Lankan-inspired fretwork, and bespoke concrete furniture. Each of the four suites is uniquely designed and can sleep up to 8 guests.

The location is convenient, close to Sri Lanka’s best beaches and Galle Fort, with a 2-hour drive from the airport. Amenities include a fully staffed team with a chef and house staff, providing an ingredient-based meal plan. Braganza Villa features a unique entrance with an antique carved door, Moroccan bejmet tiles, and a sunken sitting area with natural light. The open-plan living room overlooks lush gardens, while the bright kitchen boasts scalloped pink tiles and modern appliances. Breezy verandahs offer Moorish-patterned tiles and pool views.

The Shell Room has cozy wrap-around seating and nature-inspired decor. The garden includes a relaxing pool area with an organic shape, beach-like deck, and infinity edge with stunning views. The suites include the Palm Suite with a four-poster rattan bed, large walk-in wardrobe, and a spacious verandah; the Pearl Suite with rattan furnishings, detailed fretwork, and textiles inspired by the coast; the Peacock Suite with twin-bedded room, green barley twist four-poster beds, and a bright ensuite bathroom; and the Pol Suite located under coconut trees, featuring a built-in titanium white bed, coastal-themed decor, and an outdoor shower.
