The ground floor offers two additional double bedrooms with charming garden vistas. Tasteful decoration blends antique furniture and prints with contemporary Sri Lankan art, creating a warm, inviting space ideal for families and couples. Guest AccessGuests have exclusive use of the entire villa, pool, and grounds (staff quarters have a separate entrance)

The villa has been carefully restored to keep its antique features, like carved wooden windows, while adding everything you need for a comfortable stay. This villa is perfect for small families or couples looking for a private getaway. It has three bedrooms: a large master suite upstairs with its own luxurious bathroom, including a walk-in shower and a classic claw-footed bathtub, and two more bedrooms on the ground floor that share a bathroom.

All the bedrooms have big, comfy beds with mosquito nets. Please note that the staircase to the master bedroom is old and steeper than usual, so it may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Inside the villa, you’ll find a cozy sitting room with soft sofas and a grand entrance hall with high ceilings. Outside, wide verandas surround the house, offering cool spots to sit and dine. There is also a unique octagonal pavilion, called an ambalama, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful garden.

The pool area is a highlight of Ginigala House. It is surrounded by walls for privacy and has plenty of space for sunbathing. A grand staircase leads to the pool, making it feel extra special. If you’re driving, there is secure parking available, and if not, the villa staff can arrange tuk-tuks or larger vehicles for your travel needs. The villa comes with a friendly team of staff, including a talented chef who can prepare delicious meals for you. You only need to cover the cost of the groceries.
